Aftercare

Be Kind To Our Products

We make all of our items with so much love and care, so its essential you take care of them once they have left our workshop. If our advise is not followed unfortunately this will invalidate our guarantee.

  A Must...

None of our products should be exposed to prolonged heat such as: radiators, stoves or open fires. This can cause distortion in our timber products, such as movement between boards, cupping and twisting. In extreme heat, its important to keep your table nourished with Danish oil or linseed oil to prevent drying out and warping.

Of course wood is a natural product and so you will see some natural amounts of movement, this is seen as typical and expected. These will not covered by our guarantee.
Not ready to set up your table? Make sure its stored correctly. It will need to be in a cool dry environment, do not lie on a flat surface without using spacers for airflow between the floor and the timber, this is to prevent movement and cupping.

Cleaning

You can keep your timber products clean by using a damp or dry lint free cloth. No harsh chemicals. Danish oil is your wooden furnitures best friend, for the first few days, gice it a coat of danish oil in its cut ends, keep it nourished weekly until its settled in to its new environment, this will help prevent any shrinkage that may lead to cracks appearing in your furniture, after a month or 2 you can oil once a month to keep it in great condition.

Natural Movement

Please see our T's and C's under our materials section for what we see as acceptable movement and imperfections in our products.
